WAS

Gastronorm system

Originally developed in 1964 by the Swiss Association for Hospital, Home and Community Catering (SVG) and the Association of Swiss Hoteliers, the Gastronorm system has since been adopted by catering and foodstuffs industries throughout the world as the standard measurement for the capacity of cooking and food storage containers. Based on the full-size 1/1 (325 x 530 mm), all other sizes can be stated as fractions.

WAS supplies the following sizes, with or without non-stick coating , in aluminium, stainless steel, melamine, polycarbonate, polypropylene and porcelain (not all sizes and surfaces are available in every material) in the standard depths 10, 20, 40, 65, 100, 150 and 200 mm.
